• Are there any discount codes I can use?

  We often offer seasonal holiday discounts. If there are none currently listed on the homepage or product pages then keep checking back.

• Can I install the software to SD card?

  Yes. Sprite Backup can be installed to either the main memory, or any type of storage card (Memory cards included).

• Can I upgrade to the latest version?

  Sprite Backup 6 customers are entitled to all versions of Sprite Backup 6.xx at no additional cost. Any existing Sprite Backup customer for earlier versions can upgrade for USD $10. Sprite Backup Upgrades

• Do I need to uninstall the software before installing a new version?

  Yes, due to the complexity of backup software, it is neccasary to remove all previous versions before installing newer versions can take place.

• Do I need to upgrade my current version of Sprite Backup?

  New versions of Sprite Backup not only give you more options and improved interfaces, but they also provide bug fixes and improved compatibility to older versions. It is strongly recommended that you use the latest version of Sprite Backup at all times.

• Does it run on Vista?

  Yes Sprite Backups PC components are compatible with Microsoft Vista.

• How do I install?

  To install Sprite Backup, simply connect your device to your PC via an established Windows Mobile Device Center, or Microsoft ActiveSync, partnership and run the installer, then, follow the prompts on your device and PC to complete installation.

• How do I remove the software?

  To uninstall Sprite Backup, please go into Start > Settings > System (Tab) > Remove Programs. Select Sprite Backup and tap "Remove".

  If you are having trouble uninstalling, please download this tool: UninstallSpriteBackup.exe
  Please copy the file to a folder on your device.
  Use File Explorer to locate the file and run it
  After tapping on the file please wait for an "Uninstall successful" message.

  Please note you will not be able to see anything happening while the tool runs - only the Successful/Failed message.

• I don’t have a credit card - how can I purchase your software?

  Our checkout system fully supports payment via PayPal.

• I have a MAC - can I use your software?

  You can install Sprite Backup directly to your device by copying the Sprite Backup CAB file to your device, and opening it using File Explorer. Download the CAB file

• I need to get the authorisation code - what do I do?

  You can  request both your download and authorization information by entering your email address on our Lost Codes page.

• I purchased the software but it is in Trial Mode - how do I authorise the software?

  Simply open Sprite Backup and go into Options > Help > Authorize, then input your name and authorisation code.

• I purchased using PayPal but did not receive a code

  Purchases made using PayPal can take up to 48 hours to clear our system, and, within that, generate your authorisaion details.

• I want to be notified when there are new releases.

  Simply register to our mailing list and we will contact you when new builds are released. To register, simply right click the Sprite Backup PC Manager icon and select Register or go into Sprite Backup > Options > Help > Register on your device.

• Is Sprite Backup compatible with my device?

  Sprite Backup 6.5.4.8 is compatible with all Windows Mobile 5 and 6 based devices, including Windows Mobile 6.1. If you are using a Windows Mobile 2002/2003 device, there is a Sprite Backup available for you, more information on which can be found here: Sprite Backup Pocket PC 2002/2003

• My device came with Sprite Backup 6.2.3, can I upgrade to the latest version of Sprite Backup for free?

  Our license with your provider was for the version provided on your device, and does not cover upgrades. You can upgrade for the small cost of $10 from: Sprite Backup Upgrades Page

• My email address changed

  Simply contact us, via our feedback form, and we will update our database.

• What Operating System do I have?

  You'll find it on the first line if you go to - Start > Settings > System (Tab) > About

• Where do I download?

  You can download the latest CAB file fromhere.
  You can download the latest PC installer fromhere.

• Why do I need Backup software?

  Having a backup of your phone means that, if your device is lost, stolen or damaged, you have a backup of all of your information and applications, preventing you from losing valuable data, and saving you the time of setting your device up again. Also, if you wish to upgrade your ROM, you will need to hard reset your device. Sprite Backup allows you to restore your data to your device, even after this upgrade.
