“Last week I encountered the most unforgettable narrow escape in my life time. The lesson to learn is NOT to fondle around with your PDA when you know you are on a business trip the next morning! I was a few hours away before going to the airport, when my itchy hands decided to install some new 3rd party software into my PPC. Suddenly my PPC hang and I had to hard reset my PPC!!! My tears nearly rushed out my eyes, coz all my powerpoint files were gone!! But luckily I did a backup that morning, using Sprite Backup which I purchased a month ago, and so everything just came back to my PPC at one tap!! Unbelievable!! Best Backup By Far
“I don’t often review products but this one was worth a mention. Running it on an IPAQ 2210. Backs up EVRYTHING to an SD or CF card as a single *.EXE file on the card. If the device suffers a hard reset simply insert the memory card, run the exe file, and everything is back as it was. Only backup program I have tried that works perfectly every time and misses nothing. So easy to use if your going to try out some new software, make a backup first, if the new program is crap or wont uninstall correctly, run the backup and its gone, including any settings it changed and its registry entries.”

Better save than sorry…
“I have purchased this program because I use my Pocket PC also as a car navigation system. It happened twice to me that the battery ran out and that all the extra installed programs where gone including the navigation software. Not a very nice experience if this happens to you in the middle of nowhere on a holiday. With Sprite Backup Pocket PC you just make a backup from your PPC on a SD card and within 1 min you can restore your PPC from your external memory card.You dont have to drag a laptop with you to install al the lost software,just keep that small memory card within reach and your are safe. If you would like to rely on you PPC when you are traveling then this program is a must!”

This software is a Necessity
“I use Sprite Backup all the time. It’s so important to back up your Pocket PC because if your system crashes, you lose all of your programs and documents. While a user can back up programs and documents using the free Pocket PC application, it really takes many minutes (even 40 min) to back up the entire system. It also doesn’t allow one to locate just a few files that need to be retrieved. This software also comes with a battery meter, memory reader, and card storage meter. While I don’t use these applications because of other Today software options, if one needs these features, they’re very handy. One can back-up the Pocket PC to the computer, do an entire backup of the system (including all the software and information on the card). Since I’ve had experience with an unstable Pocket PC that frequently crashed in the past, I know this software is worth it’s weight in gold. I can do a full restore in two-three minutes (or less of a 10 mb file). It can back up all of your files quickly too. It’s a good software application that Microsoft should just make part of the operating system. Yet with Microsoft, nothing worthwhile is free, is it? Give the program a try and in ten days, you’ll probably buy it like I did.”

Fast and reliable
“I have used Sprite to restore my XDAII (WM2003 Phone edition) a few times after installing programs that did not behave well (security programs in particular). In all cases, the restore worked perfectly (do not restore SMS!) and I am confident that I can restore my device quickly and easily if required. This program should be the first purchase everyone makes, it’s essential!”

“Be sure, this program will one day save your PPC-life, as it did today with my Cassiopeia E-200. I had to perform a hard reset of my PPC due to the malfunctionning of another, new program I tried to install. Fortunately, with Sprite Backup I had done a back-up of all my files and programs a few days ago (almost 67 M!). Nothing got lost. Sprite Backup not only saved me a lot of money, but, most of all, weeks of headaches and irritations having to re-install every single program again.
