We have been evaluating the iPAQ 3970 PDA and were pleased to notice that the Sprite pocket backup tool had been supplied under the name of iPAQ Backup.
We want to be able to restore the whole PDA very quickly in the event of the battery going flat as we install a number of apps on top of the standard set and some of it has some tricky configuration.
There appears however to be a problem after restoring the backup where the program icons on the Start Menu appear to get duplicated and we end up with a scrolling menu bar with icons displayed which were not originally displayed when the iPAQ was backed up. Is this a known issue? Using iPAQ backup is our preferred solution but this problem makes it unusable for want we want to achieve.
