A Little Bit About Us
Sprite Software was founded in 2001 by Chairman Murray Haszard and CEO Sean
Connolly, both formerly of Binary Research Inc, developer of the well known
Ghost software that was sold to Symantec in 1998.
Sprite has since developed Sprite Backup, the world's leading backup and recovery
software for handheld devices and Smartphones and Sprite Clone, imaging software
for the deployment of multiple handhelds, configured identically.
Sprite Software is a company dedicated to providing a better experience for the
exponentially growing number of people who use and rely upon mobile devices for
their personal and commercial needs. Sprite has become the popular choice, trusted
to save and protect the valuable information that is often stored on handhelds and mobile phones.

Murray Haszard (Chairman)
Murray is a New Zealand based entrepreneur with several successful companies to his credit.
He was the founder of B32 Technologies, a software company that created a language for
Data general Systems. B32 was sold to Transoft in 1992. Murray's next venture was Binary
Research Inc, which developed and sold a disk cloning product called Ghost. This product
was a huge success, growing rapidly during the 1990's as demand for large windows PC
deployments grew. Binary research was sold in 1998 to Symantec. Since then Murray has
co-founded Sprite Software and is also CEO of Airmaster Propellers, designers and
builders of variable pitch constant speed propellers for light aircraft.

Sean Connolly (CEO)
Sean Connolly was one of the original developers of Ghost - the leading PC cloning tool,
and was involved in assisting enterprises plan their desktop imaging strategies. Before
working on Ghost, he was directly involved in large scale handheld roll outs for
Telecommunication companies in Australia and New Zealand.
After the sale of Ghost to Symantec, Sean had a break, two children and nurtured his passion
for the Uilleann pipes (Irish bagpipes). In 2001, he was invited by Murray to co-found Sprite
Software with a view to delivering the benefits of imaging to handheld platforms. Sean is a
graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology, where he earned a Batchelor's degree in
Electronic Engineering.

Nic Strong (CTO)
Nic has extensive international experience designing, developing and delivering large
Telecommunications projects internationally for over 10 years. After returning to New Zealand
in 2002 after a 5 year stint in London, he joined Sprite Software as a founding developer and
architect. During his time at Sprite he has been key to the design and delivery of Sprite's
flagship products and, more recently in developing a technical strategy for the next
generation of Sprite technology. Nic's interests include Open Source software development,
snowboarding and relaxing with his wife and dogs at his coastal home in Auckland. Nic holds a
BSc (Hons) Computer Science from the University of Auckland.
