May 20th, 2010 - Sprite Software, the world's leading backup and security developer for mobile devices, has successfully completed an 18 month research security project, jointly with New Zealand Government’s Foundation for Research Science and Technology.
The resulting technologies are flowing into Sprite’s leading Mobile Backup and Security applications. Leading mobile handset manufacturers have confirmed they will ship millions of devices embedding Sprite’s unique cloud backup, migration, and device security technologies over 2010/2011.

“We are very grateful for the support of the Foundation. It has been a mission expanding our technology strategy from the single mobile platform to all major Smartphones, while concurrently moving our technologies to connect with cloud services." - Julian Rayner, CEO
“Without the foundations assistance, we would have struggled to create so many new compelling technologies. The mobile and cloud spaces, will be the fastest paced technology arenas for the next decade. We are glad to be at the forefront, with a great story for the future."
