Sprite Backup passes the 10 million user mark

We’re really proud to announce that Sprite Backup has now passed the historic landmark of 10 million users worldwide! Over the past seven years we’ve worked hard to bring peace of mind to Windows Mobile customers and we’re delighted to have reached this milestone. The whole industry is growing quickly, as recent strong sales of HTC’s Diamond device show. As sales increase we hope it won’t take too many more years before we’re announcing our 100 millionth Backup user!

The Smartphone market in general is booming, and the iPhone has certainly helped that. Customers perceptions of what they can do with their mobile device is changing, and as a result they’re looking for Smartphone functionality in their devices. This is resulting in strong growth for the Windows Mobile platform.

We’ll continue developing Sprite Backup to give total protection for Windows Mobile users. We’re hard at work behind the scenes on Backup 6.5, due in the next months. This will include:

  • New, innovative backup features.
  • Improved GUI, moving you closer to your most used features.

We’d never have made it without you, so we would like to once again thank-you, Sprite Backup users. Without your valuable input, support, encouragement and feedback over the past five years, Backup would not be the application it is today.
