Sprite Software Appoints Thom Bailey as New Chief Marketing Officer and Stuart Sang as New Sr. Product Marketing Manager
AUCKLAND, NZ – November X, 2006 – Sprite Software Ltd. today announced the appointment of Thom Bailey as Chief Marketing Officer and Stuart Sang as Sr. Product Marketing Manager. In these new roles Bailey and Sang will serve as the senior marketing, sales, and product management leaders for the overall Sprite Software business worldwide.
“Organizations developing a comprehensive security strategy have to include mobile devices as key endpoints that should be secured, just as they’re protecting their desktops and laptops,” said Sean Connolly, Chief Executive Officer at Sprite Software Ltd. “Both Thom and Stuart bring many years of senior leadership experience to their respective roles and I’m delighted to have them part of Sprite team”.
Prior to heading the marketing, sales, and product management teams at Sprite Software, Bailey was director of product management at Symantec corporation where he was responsible for growing the revenue and establishing the strategic roadmap for Symantec’s system’s management division including such products as Symantec Ghost,, pcAnywhere, and the LiveState Delivery and LiveState Patch Manager product lines. Prior to this appointment, Bailey served as product manager for Symantec’s anti-virus offerings for the enterprise as well as it’s cryptographic product offerings.

Bailey will be based in the newly opened US office of Sprite Software Inc, while Sang will reside in Sprite Software’s Auckland NZ headquarters.

Sprite Mobile Named Hi-Tech Emerging Company of the Year
AUCKLAND, NZ. – Nov. X, 2006 – Sprite Mobile today announced that Pricewater houseCoopers has named Sprite Mobile as Hi-Tech Merging Company of the year for 2006. The 2006 PricewaterhouseCoopers New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards celebrate New Zealand’s most successful and innovative hi-tech companies and honor outstanding individual achievement.
In a bid to find New Zealand’s most outstanding hi-tech companies and individuals, the finalists spanning 10 categories were judged by Google’s Chief Internet Evangelist Vinton Cerf; New Zealand born Andy Lark, Chief Marketing Office for LogLogic; Ann Winblad, Co-Founding Partner of Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and Greg Horowitt, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Global CONNECT.
